Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced professional to oversee the asset management, operations, and maintenance of their solar power generation facilities.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

  • Overseeing asset management, operations, and maintenance of solar power assets.
  • Optimizing and maximizing the performance and reliability of solar power generation facilities.
  • Ensuring timely completion of all internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Evaluating asset performance and implementing actions to increase revenue.
  • Supervising direct reports and supporting their development.
  • Conducting proactive maintenance and performance analysis.
  • Improving operational knowledge and implementing cost-effective technical improvements.
  • Enforcing contractual agreements and performance guarantees.
  • Investigating site abnormalities, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Managing warranty and contractual communications with various stakeholders.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives for solar power assets.

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in solar power plant asset management or operations/maintenance.
  • Extensive experience in operations or financial management, including contract administration.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with senior management.
  • Willingness to travel (estimated at 10%).
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience with engineering, operation, and technical staff is preferred.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level programs for remote data acquisition and control of solar power generation facilities is desired.
  • Understanding of environmental, health, and safety program management for power generation facilities Is desired.
  • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
