Bright Renewables is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team.

The Area Sales Manager will be the driving force behind transformative partnerships that propel business and sustainability forward. Our ideal candidate has a proven sales track record in the biogas industry or related fields. This person doesnt shy away from a challenge and has a knack for closing complex deals.

Key Details:

  • Salary: $143k – $210k OTE ($110k – $150k base + 30-40% variable pay)
  • Location: Vancouver, WA (hybrid) preferred. Qualified applicants may be considered for remote work.
  • Travel: Up to 30% throughout the US and Canada

Who You Are: You are well-versed in managing extended sales cycles, bringing exceptional consultative sales expertise, potentially underscored by credentials from a recognized sales training program. Your history showcases a consistent ability to meet and surpass sales quotas. You excel in communication and are adept at engaging in dialogue and compelling presentations.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or business-related discipline.
  • Five or more years of sales experience.
  • Experience with a long sales cycle.
  • Experience working with OEMs and equipment manufacturers.
  • Work experience within the following industries is preferred: Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion, Waste/Wastewater Treatment, or Agriculture.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • First-class consultative sales skills (credentials from a commercial sales training program are a plus).

What Youll Do: In this position, you’ll build and maintain good relationships with our current and potential clients and business partners. You will execute profitable project sales and hand these over to our project realization team for seamless project execution and installation of CO2 liquefaction, carbon capture, and biogas upgrading equipment. You’ll also work closely with our suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable network for our business needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop collaborative, long-term relationships with current and prospective clients and partners.
  • Develop an effective sales plan and strategy to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and nurture new market opportunities.
  • Execute profitable project sales and ensure seamless project execution and installation of waste-to-energy equipment.
  • Conduct research to identify new sales, product opportunities, and trending consumer needs in related industries.
  • Monitor sales and profit for each account.
  • Complete a risk assessment on each project before contract negotiations.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients in the process of securing deals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and activity on major accounts.

Bright offers 24/7 service response to our clients. As a member of the team, this role may involve on-call availability and work outside of regular business hours based on client and project needs.
