Functional area: Finance / Controlling
Remuneration: Non-Exempt

The AP Processor is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining the integrity of the accounts payable system. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounts payable principles, experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, and a proven track record of successfully performing account reconciliations. Responsibilities:

  • Review weekly aging reports to ensure posted invoices are being paid timely and that posted autopayments have invoices processed and posted against them to clear out any outstanding balances
  • Perform daily and weekly account reconciliations for utilities and autopay vendors to ensure all accounts are balanced and clean
  • Communicate with vendors and internal customers on accounts payable discrepancies and issues
  • Ensure vendor banking is kept up to date in SAP
  • Assist in setting up new or existing utility accounts on auto payment
  • Perform month-end close activities, including AP accruals, resolving Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt discrepancies, etc
  • Miscellaneous special projects, including escheatment process, outstanding checks clean-up, landowner payment support, and providing 1099 process assistance
  • Assisting in weekly payment runs and manual wire review

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or other related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of principles, practices, regulations, and procedures relating to accounts payable
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in the finance area is preferred, with an emphasis on candidates who have successfully performed account reconciliations
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred
  • Contributes towards improvement initiatives
  • Maintains process documentations
  • Perform other AP analysis and tasks as required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • This position is an office-based role with limited travel and visits to other RWECE offices and field locations
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
