Role: Accounting Assistant Company Overview: Earthlight Technologies is a family owned and operated business based in Ellington, CT. We specialize in solutions for residential solar, commercial solar, EV charging Stations, and commercial energy efficiency. Our mission is to make the process easy and seamless. Position Overview: We are currently looking for a full-time Accounting Assistant to expand our accounting department within a financially stable and growing organization, with strong leadership and mentoring. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: – Reconciling monthly vendor statements – Recording accounts payable – Assist Payroll process through verification & correction of timecards – Processing invoices and purchase orders – Processing customer payments – Updating financial spreadsheets with daily transactions – Following up with customers, suppliers, and partners – Collect Past Due Accounts – Assist in monthly closing activities – Work as an accounting team member – Scanning, Digitizing and Organizing paper transaction to make paperless – As needed projects Required Qualifications: – Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field – 1 year work experience in accounting department or formula education, preferred – Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures – Microsoft Excel skills for working within templates and existing files – Familiarity with QuickBooks software is a plus but not required – Organizational and time management skills – Attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors Salary: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour Benefits Package Includes: Health Benefits – Access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage 401k – Attractive company match Time-off – A balanced approach to work-life with Paid Time Off Bonus – Performance-based bonuses Growth – Avenue for professional development and progression in a thriving company Culture – Join a family-centric atmosphere that focuses on teamwork, excellence, and customer gratification
