What You’ll Do:
As an Account Manager, you’ll play a vital role in managing relationships with our business customers, ensuring smooth communication and process improvements from start to finish. Youll collaborate cross-functionally, help develop business opportunities within those existing partnerships and bring actionable feedback to senior leadership. Your focus will be on driving customer satisfaction while enhancing operational efficiency.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our team and become the key point of contact for our valued B2B partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned B2B business partners, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth project execution using a run, operate, assess, and adjust approach.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction, increase operational efficiency, and drive business success.
  • Gather, analyze, and respond to customer feedback to continuously improve services, and act as a liaison between customers and internal departments to address concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and mutual success.
  • Actively identify and evaluate new business opportunities and bring them forward to senior leadership for consideration, using existing relationships as a foundation.
  • Monitor relationship performance and project progress through key metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to management.
  • Develop and present solutions to streamline processes, ensuring all parties involved benefit from improved operations.
  • Assist in contract negotiations with business partners to ensure alignment of terms and expectations.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and implement feedback into future projects.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in residential solar preferred, related industry considered.
  • At least 1+ years of experience managing B2B accounts or overseeing B2B projects in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Previous experience in business relationship management, partnerships, or project management.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiations and project lifecycle management in the solar or energy sectors preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific trends, regulatory requirements, and evolving business challenges in the residential renewable energy sector.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent relationships and projects.
  • Knowledge of industry business models and how they work together.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other project management tools.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean) and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate project and relationship success, generate insightful reports, and suggest data-driven improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate as part of a team in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Resourceful and innovative mindset, with the ability to challenge conventional practices and drive continuous improvement.

Location: Escondido, CA or Phoenix, AZ (onsite)

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. Baker provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
