NextDecade HSSE Internship

At NextDecade, we prioritize the health, safety, security, and sustainability (HSSE) of our operations and workforce. Our HSSE Internship offers a unique opportunity for motivated individuals to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of HSSE management within a dynamic industry.

What You’ll Do: As an HSSE Intern, you will participate in a project that supports the development of NextDecade’s HSSE and Sustainability effort, gaining insights into the following areas:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of HSE procedures and guidelines.
• Participating in risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
• Monitoring compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
• Supporting the creation and delivery of HSE training programs.
• Managing and analyzing HSE data, and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Contributing to various HSSE-related projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Senior students or recent graduates pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology, Safety, Occupational Health, Emergency Preparedness, Public Health, or a related field.
• A strong interest in health, safety, and environmental management.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HSE software or tools is a plus.

Duration and Compensation: This internship program typically lasts 8-10 weeks offering valuable exposure to the LNG and energy industry. Compensation and additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
